Tiger 3 Salman Khan’s action-thriller, continues to rake in substantial earnings, swiftly nearing the global Rs 200 crore milestone.

Salman Khan’s latest cinematic endeavor, “Tiger 3,” has roared into the limelight, shattering records within a mere three days of its theatrical release. As a pivotal part of the YRF Spy Universe, this action-thriller has not only enthralled audiences but has also set new benchmarks in the world of Indian cinema.

The movie’s box office journey began on an extraordinary note as “Tiger 3” opted for an unorthodox Sunday release, aligning with the festive fervor of Diwali. The decision proved strategic, yielding a substantial opening of Rs 44 crore, marking Salman’s biggest-ever opening. The momentum carried into the second day, with the film raking in an impressive Rs 58 crore. As the third day unfolded, “Tiger 3” continued its triumphant march, accumulating an estimated Rs 42 crore, bringing the domestic total to an impressive Rs 146 crore.

This stellar performance places “Tiger 3” in an elite league, as it becomes Salman Khan’s 17th movie to surpass the coveted Rs 100 crore nett mark. The film’s success is not confined to the domestic market alone; globally, it has amassed a staggering Rs 220 crore, positioning itself to potentially surpass the Rs 330 crore global gross of its predecessor, “Ek Tha Tiger,” from just over a decade ago. For perspective, Salman’s 2017 blockbuster, “Tiger Zinda Hai,” grossed a formidable Rs 565 crore worldwide.

On the crucial third day, “Tiger 3” reported a 33% occupancy for its Hindi version, underlining the continued appeal among the Hindi-speaking audience. However, the dubbed Tamil and Telugu versions experienced a comparatively lower occupancy, hovering at under 20% each. Notably, the film is encountering a relatively subdued response in South Indian regions, trailing behind the phenomenal success of Shah Rukh Khan’s 2023 hits, “Pathaan” and “Jawan,” both of which concluded their global runs with an impressive Rs 1000 crore each. While Salman Khan has come close to breaching the Rs 1000 crore benchmark, it remains an unconquered milestone in his illustrious career. His highest-grossing film worldwide is still “Bajrangi Bhaijaan,” which crossed the Rs 900 crore mark.

With the first “Tiger” film’s lifetime earnings left in the dust, “Tiger 3” now aims to surpass the formidable global gross of Rs 475 crore set by Hrithik Roshan’s “War.” The quest for global dominance is a testament to Salman Khan’s enduring popularity and the widespread appeal of the YRF Spy Universe.

Starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, “Tiger 3” is a cinematic spectacle directed by Maneesh Sharma. It stands as the fifth installment in YRF’s shared universe of spy films, a franchise that also boasts titles like “Pathaan” and “War.” The inclusion of Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan in cameo roles within “Tiger 3” adds an exciting dimension, setting the stage for future installments. “War 2” is already in production under the directorial guidance of Ayan Mukerji, while a tantalizing prospect of a “Tiger vs Pathaan” film has been teased, with director Siddharth Anand at the helm of what promises to be an epic showdown.

As “Tiger 3” continues to captivate audiences globally, its trajectory hints at the potential to etch Salman Khan’s name even more prominently in the annals of Indian cinema. The film’s resounding success not only reaffirms Salman’s star power but also underscores the appetite of audiences for high-octane, interconnected narratives in the realm of espionage and action. With each record-breaking day, “Tiger 3” solidifies its place as a cinematic juggernaut, leaving an indelible mark on the box office landscape. As the film eyes new milestones, the YRF Spy Universe stands as a testament to the power of storytelling and star charisma, weaving a captivating narrative that transcends boundaries and resonates with audiences worldwide.
